Marsa Highest Achievement
The following season Marsa took part for the Cup of U.E.F.A. there was a lot of excitements in Malta when Marsa come against this famous team from Italy of Juventus and Juventus had 7 full internationals playing in the currant Italy squad one of them is Capello these last few years he was coach of Milan and Roberto Bettega. they also had Haller of Germany the game was played at the Gzira Ground on the 15th September 1971 the Referee was Peterson of Sweden

  How Marsa Got There
The best ever achievement by Marsa FC was that during season 1970-71. Marsa FC led the table throughout the season but finally Sliema Wanderers joined them at the top. In a championship decider, Marsa lost 0-3 and finished second.

We lost the game with Honors
The next season, Marsa took part in the UEFA Cup where they were drawn to meet Juventus of Italy. At the Gzira Stadium, Marsa lost 0-6. In Turin, at the Stadio Comunale, they lost 0-5. In their return game but the players done their best and what an honor to play against a team live the mighty Juventus at their home soil.

It was really a memorable time for Marsa that also in that season they took part Tourney Cup during Christmas and played against Zeljenesnigar of Jugaslavia and in this game Marsa only lost it by 1-0 Marsa also played a friendly game a English team Wolverhampton Wanderers and in this game Marsa lost it by 6-1 but at half time the score was Marsa on top by 1-0 the goal was scored by Accarino.

Marsa Captain Joe Cassar exchanging flags with the opposite Captain Sandro Salvadore and wished the very best to each other in the Middle you can see referee Petterson of Svezja and on the left linesman Joe Cassar Naudi Juventus was the favorite to take the game easy for the return mach this Juventus sqaud had 6 players representing Italy for the world cup sqaud.
